The Friends of the Library invite patrons to visit the Lilian Lindsey Book
Store this week. Our sale carts are full of bargains and we have great books
for summer reading, as well as movies, audio books, magazines and
CDs. Be sure and review our Friends Recommendations shelf, and
feel free to place a favorite book on the shelf as well.
Some of the donations recently received and added to our shelves are:
- the
National Audubon Society's North American Birdfeeder
Handbook
- two Rachael Ray
cookbooks
- an unusual poetry collection,
Something about the
Blues. This
one includes a CD with Langston Hughes reading,
"The Weary Blues".
Some of our most interesting items in the store, right now, are three books that require
dollar bills: Origami With Dollar
Bills, Tricks with Dollar
Bills, and Paper Airplanes with Dollar Bills.
Our volunteers look forward to seeing you and talking "books".
If you have a yard sale this summer, please consider bringing to
the library any books remaining at the end of the sale.
The Friends always welcome your donations of books,
CDs, DVDs, videos, and magazines. Please leave them in the Friends donation bin at the parking garage exit. All proceeds of our book sales support your library. The Friends are fully funding the Summer Reading Program this summer, and we recently purchased the
Library Express van

to provide mobile library services to the youth in our community.

All proceeds of our book sales support
its programs, services, and staff. You may place your
donations in the large
Friends bin at the parking garage
exit. A receipt for tax purposes is available
in the bookstore, located in the library.
Store hours are:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm,
and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
